Equines on the Beach
These sessions focus on capturing horses within a setting that enhances their presence and energy, whether through elegant portraits along the shoreline, more dynamic images in motion, or quieter moments between horse and rider. The changing textures of sand, water, and sky create a visually rich backdrop, while natural light and the openness of the landscape allow for images that feel expansive and cinematic.
I am particularly drawn to the contrast between the strength and movement of the horse and the softness and fluidity of the coastal environment. This setting allows me to explore both traditional portraiture and more spontaneous, creative imagery, from still, composed photographs to energetic moments of horses moving through water.
For horse and rider sessions, I also aim to capture the sense of freedom, trust, and enjoyment that often comes with riding in this environment. Alongside carefully composed portraits, I look for natural interactions and genuine moments that reflect the relationship between horse and rider.
Each beach shoot is approached with attention to the conditions, the horse’s comfort, and the pace of the session, allowing space for both structured portraits and unplanned moments to unfold naturally. My goal is to create images that feel memorable, atmospheric, and personal — photographs that not only document the experience, but preserve the feeling of it.
