Equine Portraits

My private equine portrait sessions are focused on creating timeless, personal images that celebrate the individuality of each horse and the unique bond shared between horse and owner. Whether photographing horses alone or alongside their riders, my aim is to produce portraits that feel both elegant and meaningful, preserving moments that hold lasting emotional value.
These sessions allow me to work in a more considered and intimate way, using natural surroundings, light, and composition to create images that highlight the horse’s character, presence, and beauty. Alongside traditional portraiture, I am also drawn to capturing quieter, more natural interactions — moments of trust, affection, and connection that often reveal the relationship between horse and rider most authentically.
Each session is approached with attention to detail, patience, and an understanding of equine behaviour, allowing me to work at the horse’s pace and create a calm environment where genuine moments can unfold. My goal is not simply to document a horse, but to create keepsake images that tell a story and reflect the partnership, memories, and experiences shared.
Private portrait sessions also provide space for a more creative approach, whether through classic posed portraits, close-up detail studies, or more expressive and atmospheric imagery. This allows each shoot to feel personal to the client while remaining rooted in my visual style and approach to equine photography.
Through these portraits, I aim to create photographs that are not only visually strong, but deeply personal — images that clients can return to as lasting reminders of their horses and the connections they hold with them.
