I had the privilege of capturing this private equine portrait session for a young rider and her loan horse, documenting the connection and bond they have developed throughout their journey together.
This shoot focused not only on creating beautiful portraits, but on preserving the relationship between horse and rider through meaningful, personal imagery. I was interested in capturing the quieter moments of trust, affection, and familiarity that reflect the depth of their partnership, as well as producing images that celebrate their shared experience.
Creating these photographs as keepsakes is an important part of my practice. I value being able to provide clients with images that hold emotional significance and preserve moments that may otherwise pass too quickly. For me, equine photography is not only about documenting the horse, but about capturing the relationships, memories, and stories that exist around them.
This session was a reflection of that approach — producing images that feel both personal and lasting, while celebrating the unique connection between horse and rider.
